Thuy, Volunteer & Educational Travel - Team Leader
Hi, I am Thuy. I was born in the year of the buffalo - symbol of smart and hard working spirit. I have been working at Buffalo Tours long enough to get to know that I love the working environment and great colleagues here. My pastimes include enjoying coffee in my favorite coffee corners with my friends, listening to music, wandering in some bookstores to find new children’s books, as well as coming back to my hometown to visit my parents at the weekend.
Graham Harper - Educational Travel - Project Facilitator
After 12 wonderful years teaching at high schools, I expanded my horizons with a Masters degree in Environmental and Development Education. During my studies I moved to Thailand with EON Foundation to develop rural school building and teacher-training projects at various universities. After leaving the formal education sector I ran research and training programs with an institute promoting sustainable development and poverty alleviation in the Mekong River region. As part of this I developed ‘Sustainable Tourism for the Elimination of Poverty’ learning programs. I now facilitate community-based travel / education programs for Buffalo Tours and love the hands-on opportunity to combine all aspects of my varied experiences.
Phuong, Volunteer & Educational Travel Executive
Xin chao! My name is Phuong, but people just call me Coi (meaning slim). I have worked for Buffalo Tours for more than four years, and love ‘this family’ and my job a lot. I am passionately fond of adventure travel, especially driving motorbikes into remote mountain passes in North Vietnam. I like to talk to ethnic minority people to learn about their peaceful life there.

Dien, Volunteer & Educational Travel Executive
I have been working at Buffalo Tours for nearly 4 years and really feel part of ‘the family’ rather than a normal employee. I love my work as a Volunteer Travel Project Coordinator because I can travel around a lot of regions as well as help underprivileged people. I feel my life has significance every day I’m at work.
Chipseng Thor - IUCN, Seuang River Experience Project Manager
I was born in an isolated highland Hmong village in the Seuang River valley of Luang Prabang province Lao PDR. At that time the war was still raging and opium was the main source of income for my village. My father though always encouraged me to study hard in order to do better for our people. Over the years I have been a farmer, hunter, travelling salesman, solider and eco-tourism guide. My dream has always been to assist my communities become stronger and independent and the work with IUCN & Buffalo Tours is my dream come true.
Suy Vet, Volunteer & Educational Travel - Project Facilitator
I am Suy Vet. It has been nearly two years to work with Buffalo Tours as Volunteer Coordinator and I have really enjoyed my work as I have a chance to distribute my skills to help and develop the community through Volunteer and Educational Project. The smile and joy of the local people and community has really touched me a lot, personally. I also enjoy travelling and meeting new people which is a good learning experience for my life. I enjoy my adventure lifestyle during the weekend to cycle with my team to see different place and playing volley ball.
